01 Dec 2008 | AGMI Trainer and pioneer student sent to Taiwan to conduct Poker training

Recently in the month of December 2008, AGMI Casino College sent a trainer and an AGMI pioneer student to Taiwan to train local Taiwanese dealers to deal the game Texas Hold’Em. The training was a success as the local dealers now deal the game in local poker clubs around Taiwan.

In the month of December, both AGMI Casino College and Long Jie (Asian Cruise) introduced ‘Poker Club’ onboard the Long Jie cruise ship. AGMI students gain practical experience in dealing the game Texas Hold’Em Poker, managing and organizing poker tournaments. 24 Mar 2008 | Visit from Professional Players
Las Vegas professional poker players Jan Fisher and Linda Johnson aka The First Lady Of Poker, visited our school and gave invaluable lessons to the class. . Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher are co-founders of Tournament Directors Association (TDA drafts standardized set of rules for Poker Tournaments).

Both Linda and Jan together with Dr. Alan Soh (Founder of AGMI) were speakers for the Asian Poker Forum held at the Singapore Orchard Hotel on 23rd March 2008.

23 Mar 2008 | Training school predicts staff shortfall for casinos

The founder of Singapore's latest casino training school says the Republic should look at other Asian countries on how to train locals to work at casinos. Speaking at the first Asian Poker Forum, Dr Alan Soh says this is because the integrated resorts here will be unable to fill up the quota of employing three-quarters of Singaporeans at the casinos. Bobby Wright, Matt Harris, Walt Zimmerman and Nick Adams were hired to deal the 2008 World Series of Poker. All are graduates of the Casino College of Sacramento California. Congrats & Good Luck!
